Saudi Arabia launched an anti -dumping survey of stainless steel pipes

According to the Saudi Public Press on May 3, 2024, the Saudi Foreign Trade Administration (GAFT) has begun to conduct anti -dumping investigations on longitudinal welding round cross -section stainless steel pipes imported from mainland China and Taiwan. This operation is in line with the “Trade Relief Law in International Trade” formulated on November 23, 2022.
The investigation aims to solve concerns about the dumping of these products to the Saudi market, which may damage the domestic steel industry. According to the regulations overview of the Law, GAFT is responsible for performing trade remedial tasks, including conducting investigations and adopting measures to comply with the international commitments of the kingdom under various trade agreements, such as the “Anti -Land Agreement”, “Subsidy and Anti -Subsidies Agreement” and “Guarantee” and “Guarantee” agreement”.
The main purpose of this law and investigation is to protect the adverse effects of dumping and subsidy imports in domestic industries in Saudi Arabia, and prevent such imports from surging, thereby ensuring the economic benefits of the Saudi Kingdom.
